Την Παρασκευή 11 Σεπτεμβρίου οι Χούθι της Υεμένης πήραν τον έλεγχο των δύο τελευταίων νησιών του Στενού Μπαμπ ελ Μάντεμπ, δήλωσε Υεμενίτης αξιωματούχος. "Το σύνολο της ακτής της Υεμένης στην Ερυθρά Θάλασσα είναι πλέον των Χούθι, οι οποίοι κατέλαβαν τα τελευταία νησιά του στρατηγικής σημασίας Στενού Μπαμπ ελ Μάντεμπ", ανέφερε.

Ας πάμε πίσω στην ιστορία πριν έρθουμε στο τώρα. Η Σαουδική Αραβία έχει επιβάλει πολυετή αποκλεισμό (εμπάργκο) στην Υεμένη ο οποίος ξεκίνησε το 2015 με την έναρξη της στρατιωτικής της επέμβασης κατά των Χούθι.

Τις πρωινές ώρες σήμερα, ενημερώθηκε η Λιμενική Αρχή του Αγίου Νικολάου Βολιμών για ιστιοφόρο σκάφος (Ι/Φ) το οποίο βρισκόταν σε δυσχερή θέση λόγω ηλεκτρολογικής βλάβη στην θαλάσσια περιοχή πλησίον του όρμου Ναυαγίου με δύο αλλοδαπούς (υπηκόους Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου) επιβαίνοντες.
