Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (NASDAQ: CCEC), an international owner of ocean-going vessels, (the "Company," "CCEC," "we" or "us"), announced that it has successfully taken delivery of the Handy Liquefied CO2 Multi-Gas Carrier (“HMG/C”), the 'Alkimos'.
Following her delivery from the shipyard, the HMG/C Alkimos (HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd., 22,000 cubic meters (“CBM”)) commenced, a time charter with an expected duration through May 2027.
The acquisition of the Alkimos was financed with cash on hand and a 12-year ECA-backed loan of $52.8 million. Under the terms of the loan, the Company may borrow an additional amount of up to $8.1 million, if the vessel secures longer-term employment. The Alkimos is the third latest-generation HMG/C delivered to the Company, bringing the total number of vessels on the water to 21.
