Meadway Shipping Group: M/V Defender was delivered

meadwaydefender A yet memorable day for Meadway Shipping. We are pleased to announce that M/V Defender with Hull no 1619 was delivered to our long charter-in fleet. M/V Defender is an 82,400 mt dry bulk carrier built by Tsuneishi Shipyard and equipped with the latest technologies.

Mr. Costas Delaportas attended her successful Naming and Delivery Ceremony in the Numakuma district in Hiroshima and acted as the vessel's GodFather.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the smooth delivery, and warmest wishes for safe and prosperous voyages to M/V Defender and her crew.

Odfjell SE signs agreement to acquire four 40,000 dwt stainless steel newbuildings

Odfjell announces that it has signed agreements to purchase four 40,000 dwt fully stainless-steel vessels to be built at Kitanihon Shipbuilding in Japan.

The vessels will be purchased from a Japanese shipowner upon completion and are scheduled for delivery from 1Q 2027 until 2Q 2029.
