Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced its delivery of the LUCENT PATHFINDER (Kawasaki hull no. 1767), an 86,700 m3 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia (NH3) carrier powered by LPG fuel, for TSURUGI MARITIMA S.A..

The LNG spot market remained under pressure this week, with rates continuing to fall. Limited fresh enquiry and prompt vessel availability allowed charterers to keep pushing levels down, reinforcing the softer sentiment.

LR2

Freight levels for LR2’s recovered gently this week. The TC1 75kt MEG/Japan rate went from WS205 to WS214. This took the corresponding TCE up again and back over the $50,000 mark to $52,200/day on Baltic description round trip.

Capesize

The market delivered a volatile but constructive week overall, underpinned by a strong early rally and broadly supportive sentiment despite some mid-week consolidation.
