Στο δεξαμενόπλοιο μεταφοράς προϊόντων πετρελαίου CHUANG YI συνέβη έκρηξη, και εν συνεχεία πυρκαγιά, στις 16 Απριλίου περίπου στις 1600 τοπική ώρα στο στενό της Ταϊβάν περίπου 170 ν.μ. ανατολικά του Χονγκ Κονγκ.
