Με εντολή του υπουργού Εξωτερικών Νίκου Δένδια, ο Γενικός Γραμματέας του υπουργείου Θεμιστοκλής Δεμίρης πραγματοποίησε προ ολίγου έντονο διάβημα διαμαρτυρίας στον Ιρανό Πρέσβη στην Αθήνα, αναφορικά με την βίαιη κατάληψη δύο πλοίων ελληνικής σημαίας στον Κόλπο.
