Dorothea Ioannou has a Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law in New York and a BA from the City University of NY. After relocating to Greece in 1997, Dorothea initially worked in local law firms and was involved in commercial as well as maritime law. In January of 1998, Dorothea entered themarine insurance industry joining Allied Insurance Brokers Ltd. to manage the Marine Insurance Claims Department. In 2005, Dorothea joined SCB (Hellas) Inc., the Piraeus Claims Liaison Office for the Managers of the American P&I Club, (Shipowners Claims Bureau Inc., NY) as a Claims Executive and in 2009 took on the claims management as well as general management of the office. In 2010 she became the first woman to be appointed to the Executive Committee of the N.Y. management company, Shipowners Claims Bureau Inc.

Mr. John A. Gauci-Maistre K.M. was born in Sliema in 1947, the son of the late Judge Agostino Gauci-Maistre and Winnifred Mifsud. He attended the St. Aloysius College in Malta. He eventually moved to the London during which time he became acquainted with managerial and accounting aspects of business. After a few years in the U.K. he moved back to Malta and immediately became a

Ugo Salerno is the President and CEO of RINA.
Ugo Salerno was appointed Chief Executive Officer of RINA S.p.A. in June 2002 and Chairman as from February 2012. Following his degree from the University of Naples in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, he moved to the Genova Sestri Shipyard. After about 3 years he joined Fermar in Ravenna, a shipping company involved in the transport of raw materials, first as Superintendent and then as Technical Manager. In 1988 he moved back to Genova where he became Fleet Manager and Director of Bulkitalia, part of the Coeclerici Group.
During his 14 years with Coeclerici he assumed several executive positions becoming, in 1996, CEO of the Shipping and Logistic activities and Vice President of Coeclerici Trading.
While at Coeclerici he was also nominated Director of the Standard P&I Club.
From July 2003 to June 2004 he was appointed Chairman of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies).
From 2008 Mr Salerno is Director of ITIC P&I Club. From 2009 to March 2014 he was Director of VSL Investment Fund. From June 2011 he is Director of Fondazione Ansaldo.
From 2013 he is Director of Confindustria Genova, and of the Galliera Hospital in Genova.
He is also member of the International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA).
From April 2014 he is Member of Costa Crociere Foundation Board. From May 2014 he is Director of Ucina.
Mr Ugo Salerno stated that: «RINA is recognized as an authoritative member of key international organizations and an important contributor to the development of new legislative standards».

Year 1880. In Russia, in Novotserkask just 50 kilometers north of Rostov born from Cossacks villagers Alexander Vlasov. He is the refugee eve of the October Revolution started from Odessa to arrive in Romania and Poland and from there to Italy, Switzerland, New York and Buenos Aires. He is the man who would become the founder of the largest ship management company in the world called V.Ships.Today V.Ships part of V.Group is the leading supplier of independent ship management and related marine services to the global shipping industry. Currently, it supplies services to a fleet of over 1000 vessels and manages a crew roster of 25,000 staff.
The history
SITMAR began when Alexandre Vlasov carried coal in the Mediterranean using two small cargo ships. During the Second World War, these ships were lost to the company. Vlasov restarted SITMAR after the war, and slowly assembled a new fleet of passenger and cargo ships. SITMAR obtained contracts with the International Refugee Organisation (IRO) to take refugees from Europe to Australia and other nations. SITMAR's first vessel to operate from Australia was the Castelbianco. Amongst the many companies contracted to transport displaced people, SITMAR's vessels were noted for providing higher quality accommodation and food.
During the 1950s, SITMAR became a major passenger shipping company. It offered regular journeys between Australia and Europe for migrants and other passengers. For several years, the company operated journeys between Europe, Central America and South America. SITMAR also engaged in the tourist trade between Europe, the United States and Canada.
